Itinerary
When you charter the whole yacht as a group, you decide your itinerary, with the expert guidance of your captain and crew. When booked by the cabin, such as for our physician’s continuing education cruises, a set itinerary simplifies the decision making for everyone.
Captain Mike will greet you at the airport and escort you to the yacht, where you’ll settle in, perhaps with a snack and afternoon refreshments. Then you’ll set sail and begin your adventure!
What to Bring
Clothing – not as much as you might think you should bring! You’ll spend most of your time in a swimsuit, so we suggest a minimum of 3, with cover-ups for shore excursions or dining aboard. A couple of pairs of shorts is good, and maybe a casual dinner outfit or two for shoreside (optional) dinners, like a sundress, casual summer skirt, etc., and nice shorts and polo shirt for men. You don’t need shoes on board, so flip flops and casual sandals on shore are fine.
Jewelry — Leave it at home. Just bring casual island baubles if you like.
Beachtowels — We provide them on board, but you may bring extras if you wish. All other linens and towels are provided.
Sunscreen — Is a must! You need high spf, PABA free and ocean friendly. It’s very expensive in the BVI, so bring lots!
Medication — Make sure you see your doctor way ahead of time and get your prescription medication to bring with you. There is an extensive first aid kit on board with bandages and over the counter type medications. Although the waves are gentle, if you are prone to seasickness, there are many effective remedies available over the counter or by prescription.
Luggage — Soft, squishy duffle bag type is best. It will be stored in your stateroom, so the more it folds up, the better!
Smoking — In the interest of good health, we prefer that you not smoke on Good Medicine. Certainly not belowdecks! If you must smoke, the smoking lounge is located on the aft swim steps.
Passports — We recommend you bring your passport, but US and Canadian citizens may also gain entry into the BVI with authenticated birth certificate and photo ID.
